Just mere months after brokering the off-market acquisition of Pinecrest Square, Native Realty CEO Jaime Sturgis completed a slew of lease transactions to bring the Fort Lauderdale retail center to 100% leased. Sturgis exclusively leases Pinecrest Square on behalf of its owner and represented it in its $10.3 million purchase of the Cypress Creek property in June 2025.
Totaling over 40,000 square feet on nearly 2 acres at 903-999 E. Cypress Creek Road, Pinecrest Square benefits from its location on busy Cypress Creek Road and proximity to I-95. One of the center’s new tenants is popular Philadelphia-founded Bagels & Co., which signed a 2,080-square-foot lease at Pinecrest Square. Native has successfully brokered many South Florida leases on behalf of Bagel & Co. over the past two years as the chain aggressively expands in the region.
Other new tenants at Pinecrest Square include nonprofit Trustbridge Foundation, Inc. (4,635 square feet), Bio Health IV Clinic (1,523 square feet) and barber shop Guys & Dolls (1,451 square feet).
Sturgis also secured lease renewals with Tacos Los Guachi’s (1,743 square feet), kava bar Kavasutra (1,432 square feet) and Dr. Henry Merritt (1,154 square feet).
“Pinecrest Square is a strong example of the Native difference,” Sturgis said. “In this instance, we identified a desirable off-market retail investment opportunity, then executed an efficient leasing campaign to bring the center to fully leased status in a short timeframe. This hands-on, 360-degree approach is not possible without deep relationships and market knowledge.”
Native, which recently surpassed $1 billion in overall transaction volume and is on pace for a record year of production in 2025, has more than tripled its number of brokers in the past year. The firm is actively interviewing senior commercial real estate brokers in Broward and Palm Beach counties to accommodate increasing client demand. Native is working on $250 million in off-market investment sales opportunities on behalf of commercial real estate investor clients.
