Jaime Sturgis, CEO of pioneering Fort Lauderdale-based firm Native Realty, brokered another impactful real estate transaction in his home city. This time, Sturgis represented award-winning hospitality expert Marc Falsetto, CEO of Handcrafted Hospitality, in a new off-market lease on Las Olas Boulevard.
Handcrafted Hospitality leased 4,240 square feet at 831-833 E. Las Olas Blvd. The company plans to open a high-energy, American luxury dining concept with a cocktail lounge. More details will be unveiled later this year.
Falsetto, a 30-year hospitality veteran, is known for popular food-and-beverage concepts such as Runway 84, Tacocraft, Pizzacraft, Henry’s Sandwich Station and Apothecary 330. He was recognized by South Florida Business Journal as a 2024 Hospitality Power Leader.
“I have been eyeing Las Olas for the past 10 years and was just waiting for the right space to bring my new concept to life,” Falsetto said. “Jaime brought me an off-market deal for the best corner on Las Olas, and I had to jump on it. Jaime and his team at Native got the deal done, and it worked out great for all parties.”
The building is owned by Las Olas 831 LLC.
“It was an absolute pleasure to work on this transaction with Marc Falsetto, who has been instrumental in Fort Lauderdale’s emergence as a hospitality destination,” Sturgis said. “For Native, this is another example of our leading role in the curation of South Florida’s urban core neighborhoods. From hospitality operators to commercial real estate investors and developers, we are called upon to create opportunities through our local relationships and market knowledge.”
Sturgis and Native are regularly brokering exciting food-and-beverage transactions throughout South Florida. In Flagler Village, Sturgis recently brokered both sides of restaurateur Jay Shirodkar’s lease for his new Jay’s Steakhouse concept. Native also represented both sides of Chicago-based Go Grocer’s first Florida lease at Flagler Village’s Motif and facilitated Ella Café’s Palm Beach County expansion with two new leases.
