Migration of restaurants from the Northeast isn’t slowing down, broker says
That’s the view of Jaime Sturgis, a retail broker and CEO of Fort Lauderdale-based Native Realty.
“Establishments in states including New York and California have reopened in full, but Sturgis said that hasn’t changed the commitments coming from hospitality business owners from outside Florida.
“Many of them are never going back, and they’ve made that crystal clear. They don’t care what happens,” he said. “And the ones who kept their base in places like New York, they are still committed to expanding here.”
