2022 Structures Awards: Dealmaker of the Year

Jaime Sturgis lives for the letter of intent whose signing has led to the transformation of once-abandoned neighborhoods into some of South Florida’s trendiest locales. Through creativity, local market knowledge and relationships, he’s brokered notable off-market deals that have included office and industrial properties, retail and restaurant space, and multifamily development assemblages.

Sturgis launched Native Realty in 2017 with a vision of turning outdated and vacant commercial warehouses in Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village into creative offices, restaurants/bars, art galleries, apartments and performing arts spaces. He has since completed transactions totaling more than 2 million square feet.

Since spring 2021, Sturgis, 34, and his team have closed over $221.26 million in transactions. They handled the sale of Deerfield Beach restaurant JB’s on the Beach and Wilton Manors properties, and represented bestselling author Patrick Bet-David in the purchase of $8.6 million in commercial buildings.
