Jaime Sturgis Brokers Off-Market Retail Investment Sales Transaction in Fort Lauderdale

Jaime Sturgis, CEO of pioneering Fort Lauderdale-based firm Native Realty, closed a $10.3 million off-market retail transaction in the city’s Cypress Creek neighborhood. Sturgis represented the buyer of Pinecrest Square, a shopping center located at 903-999 E. Cypress Creek Road.

Pinecrest AP LLC sold the property to 903 Cypress Creek LLC. The transaction closed on June 13, 2025.

Totaling over 40,000 square feet on nearly 2 acres, Pinecrest Square benefits from its location on busy Cypress Creek Road and proximity to I-95. Tenants include ChenMed, 7-Eleven, Jiffy Lube, Cheers Food & Spirits and Pet Emergency Center.

Native is exclusively leasing Pinecrest Square on behalf of the buyer. The center’s available retail spaces range from 1,200 to 4,000 square feet, with one available 1,000-square-foot medical-office space.

“In a market where commercial real estate investor demand is strong but inventory is scarce, our ability to source off-market opportunities for clients is especially valuable,” Sturgis said. “In this instance, we identified an extremely well-located retail center with potential to create further value through property upgrades and new leasing activity.
